The Mystic Arts Center, Mystic, CT seeks a full time Director of Education to manage the educational programs for a financially healthy, well respected 94 year old arts organization. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Education will lead a staff of two part time employees and many independent contractors in the development and implementation of dynamic programs at the Center and throughout the community.  The Director of Education will develop relationships with community organizations and school systems to promote the Center’s resources and outreach programs. The successful candidate will have a minimum B.A. in education and experience in the arts. They must possess excellent organizational, written and interpersonal skills; have a strong knowledge of grant writing; computers skills; ability to manage budgets; and have energy, vision, flexibility and a sense of humor.  Please submit application, resume and cover letter including salary requirements and three references before December 31, 2007 to:
